The Wedding
It’s a powerful, provocative production, packed with symbolism…
Rita Clarke, The Australian
The Wedding digs beneath the surface layers of codified human interaction to disrupt and deconstruct social norms and how we rely on them to inform and guide us.
It seeks to dig through the agreed upon rules of interaction and reveal motives linked to our desires, needs and wants, revealing our animal instincts and impulses. The piece is thematically strong and engages in challenging and powerful imagery.
This work was made in collaboration with the LINK Honours students of 2018. It was previously researched and developed at Danscentrumjette in Brussels in 2017.
